Even though contact lens wear can contribute to dry eye, 25% of dry eye patients still wear their lenses regularly. Luckily, SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops soothes dry eye symptoms, while moisturizing and conditioning contacts for long-lasting comfort. And, unlike most lubricant eye drops, SYSTANE® CONTACTS eye drops for contacts can be applied directly to the eyes, without the need to remove lenses first. Available in 12 mL bottles, SYSTANE® CONTACTS is the ideal dry eye therapy for contact lens wearers.
For moistening of daily and extended wear soft (hydrophilic), rigid gas permeable (silicone acrylate and fluorosilicone acrylate such as BOSTON*, POLYCON*, PARAPERM*, EQUALENS* and FLUOROPERM*) and hard contact lenses while on the eyes.
SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops have been shown safe and effective for individuals with eyes sensitive to thimerosal. SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops is an effective thimerosal- and sorbic-acid-free formula. For use as recommended by your eye care practitioner.

Placing 1 or 2 drops of SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops on the eye followed by blinking 2 or 3 times will relieve minor irritation, discomfort or blurring which may occur while wearing lenses.

PROBLEMS WITH CONTACT LENSES AND LENS CARE PRODUCTS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY TO THE EYE. It is essential that you follow your eye care practitioner's directions and all labeling instructions for proper use and care of your lenses and lens care products, including the lens case. Consult your eye care practitioner.
Eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop rapidly and lead to loss of vision.
Daily wear lenses are not indicated for overnight wear and should not be worn while sleeping. Clinical studies have shown the risk of serious adverse reactions is increased when these lenses are worn overnight.
Extended wear lenses should be regularly removed for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement on the schedule prescribed by your eye care practitioner.
Clinical studies have shown that there is an increased incidence of serious adverse reactions in extended wear contact lens users as compared to daily wear contact lens users. Studies have also shown that the risk of serious adverse reactions increases the longer extended wear lenses are worn before removal for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement. Studies have also shown that smokers have a higher incidence of adverse reactions.
If you experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, or redness of the eye, immediately remove your lenses and promptly contact your eye care practitioner. It is recommended that contact lens wearers see their eye care practitioner twice each year or, if directed, more frequently.
The following problems may occur while wearing contact lenses:
If you notice any of the above problems, immediately remove and examine your lenses. If the problem stops and the lenses appear to be undamaged, thoroughly clean, rinse and disinfect the lenses and reinsert them. If the problem continues or a lens appears to be damaged, IMMEDIATELY remove your lenses and IMMEDIATELY consult your eye care practitioner. Do not reinsert a damaged lens.
If any of the above symptoms occur, a serious condition such as infection, corneal ulcer, neovascularization or iritis may be present. Seek immediate professional identification of the problem and treatment to avoid serious eye damage. See your Instructions for Wearers booklet for more information.
SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops may be used as needed throughout the day. If minor irritation, discomfort, or blurring occur while wearing lenses, place 1 or 2 drops on the eye and blink 2 or 3 times. If discomfort persists, immediately remove lenses and immediately see your eye care practitioner.
To prevent contamination and to help avoid serious eye injury, always empty and rinse lens case with fresh rinsing solution and allow to air dry.
SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops are supplied in sterile 1/2 fl.oz. (15 mL) plastic bottles with a 0.4 fl.oz. (12 mL) fill.
SYSTANE® CONTACTS Lubricant Eye Drops are indicated for use with daily and extended wear soft (hydrophilic), rigid gas permeable (silicone acrylate and fluorosiliconeacrylate) and hard contact lenses as recommended by your eye care practitioner.
